2023 Joint Research Project: Singapore & Malaysia

The 2023 Joint Research Project was the first of its kind in that it was the first JRP to visit multiple countries. Given our complex research topic, the economic and national security implications of the growing U.S.-China rivalry in Southeast Asia, we thought it would be valuable to hear from different perspectives. We spent half our time in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and half our time in Singapore. While our schedule was doubly packed, I like to think we learned twice as much, too.
